Agnes Dewi Hartkamp is currently working as program manager at the Foundation for Innovations in Horticulture (SIGN). Connecting disciplines and organizations for healthy food, wellbeing and healthy work environments through strategic horticultural innovations. Before her position at SIGN, she worked as policy advisor for the Dutch Agriculture Ministry on sustainability, economics and agricultural policies and European regional development programs. Before that, she worked for the Farmers Association and Cereal industry on biotechnology, food safety, quality systems, and research coordination for cereal breeding, production and processing. She did her PhD research at CIMMYT, the leading international Institute for Maize and Wheat Research. Her research focused on designing sustainable maize cropping systems for Latin America, through combining GIS, climate interpolation techniques, crop modeling and consultation with regional stakeholder networks.
